Meet the redraw team

Years spent redrawing.
Care in the small decisions.

Experience shows up in a curve that keeps its character, letters that sit correctly together, and a file that makes sense to the person using it next.

Our team works from your reference and your intended use. Timothy personally reviews artwork, helps clarify the brief and keeps the conversation connected to what you actually need.

See the work, not just the claim

A redraw is a series of careful decisions.

Westside Paws: a real Illustrator redraw, approximately 11 minutes shown at 10× speed.

The paths are drawn, not guessed by a button.

Watch the shapes being rebuilt against the reference. A designer controls the curves, checks the proportions and refines the lettering instead of accepting an automatic outline as the finished artwork.

  • Lettering checked against the original
  • Curves and negative spaces refined
  • Editable artwork prepared for the agreed use

Where a human eye matters

What can make a redraw challenging?

Automatic tracing can be useful for a simple shape. Lettering, ambiguous detail and production requirements call for closer judgment. Here is what we look at before saying yes to a project.

01 /

Lettering that has lost its shape

Small text, compressed screenshots and AI-generated letters need more than a rough outline. We check the wording, letter shapes, spacing and proportions against your reference.

Send the correct wording and a font name or clearer reference, if you have one.

02 /

Fine detail in a porridge of pixels

A tiny image can blur several lines into one. Redrawing takes interpretation, but it cannot reveal detail that is no longer visible. We flag unclear areas and agree on the intended result.

A larger original, an old print or another view can make a real difference.

03 /

Gradients, distress and illustrated detail

The more detail an image contains, the more decisions a faithful redraw requires. We review which effects can be recreated as vectors and explain any limitations before quoting.

Photographic and painterly images are not always suitable for a vector redraw.

04 /

The same logo, a different production job

A detailed mark for a large sign may need a simpler, approved version for a small engraving or embroidered cap. We work from the finished size and your supplier’s specifications.

Tell us the intended use. A vector file alone does not guarantee machine readiness.

Faithful to the artwork. Honest about its limits.

We do not silently replace your design with a new one, invent unreadable words, or promise that every tiny detail will work on every machine. Any simplification, new variant or change to the original is something to agree with you.

A logo for signage, an engraving, a business card or an apparel graphic starts with the same conversation: what result do you need?

  1. 01

Artwork review and a clear quote

Upload your best reference, correct wording, intended use, finished size and deadline. We confirm the scope, price and expected schedule.

  2. 02

Manual redraw and your first proof

Once you approve and pay, the artwork is redrawn in Illustrator. You review a proof and can request refinements to the agreed artwork.

  3. 03

    Approval and organized final files

Receive editable AI, EPS, SVG and PDF files, plus high-resolution PNG and JPG exports. Any extra variants or specialist formats are agreed in your quote.

Before you hire a vector artist.

What does a professional vector artist do?

A vector artist rebuilds artwork with editable paths instead of pixels. For a redraw, that means checking the original shapes, lettering, proportions and colors, then recreating the artwork in Adobe Illustrator for the agreed use.

Is this the same as your AI vectorizer?

No. This page is for our human redraw service. Our artists draw the artwork by hand in Adobe Illustrator. The separate Studio AI vectorizer is an automated tool and may be useful for simpler artwork.

Can you redraw an old logo or an AI-generated design?

Yes, when the reference is suitable for a vector redraw. Send the highest-quality file you have, even if it is a screenshot or scan. We review unclear lettering, missing detail and complex effects with you before agreeing on the scope.

How much does a manual redraw cost?

Manual redraws start at US$50. The final quote depends on the artwork complexity, number of actual designs or variants, and any production-specific preparation. We confirm the price and scope before paid work begins.

How long does a redraw take?

Our standard manual-tracing service offers a first proof within 24 hours after payment. Especially detailed artwork, multiple designs or specialist preparation may need a different schedule, which we confirm in your quote. A first proof is not a promise that every revision and final file will be complete within that time.

Which files will I receive, and can I request changes?

A standard manual redraw includes AI, EPS, SVG and PDF vector files, with high-resolution PNG and JPG exports. Additional production formats are agreed in the quote. You can request revisions to the original agreed artwork; a new design or a change of scope is quoted separately. Embroidery machine files require separate digitizing and are not the same as vector artwork.
